The annual Deep Creek Lake Art & Wine Festival will be held this weekend.
Friday evening (September 5th) begins the Art & Wine Festival with area restaurants offering special pre-fix wine pairing dinners. To see a selection of local restaurants participating please visit the website here.
The Festival continues on Saturday (September 6th) at the Garrett County Fairgrounds, located within walking distance to the campground. The event, which benefits HART for Animals and GLAF, begins at noon and ends at 6:00 p.m.
The Art & Wine Festival includes art from over thirty professional artists and craftsmen including everything from jewelry and wood carvings to oil paintings and hand painted furniture and accessories. Wine samples will be available from a variety of over 200 wines. You will be able to taste and purchase homemade products from local food artisans including Firefly Farms, DeBerry Farms, and Deep Creek Sweets.
There will be live entertainment playing throughout the day. Also there will be a silent auction taking place from noon to 4 p.m. The silent auction will include items such as art, wine, jewelry, gift certificates, and much more.
There will be plenty of activities for the kids including face painting, balloon art, carriage rides, moon bounce, and more!
Tickets for the Deep Creek Art & Wine Festival are $25 for adults, 21 and over and include entry fee, wine tastings and a commemorative wine glass.
